CSU and the Country list, crash, SPD / UB, FWG and WE-FDP lay

The preliminary result of the City Council elections 2008 brings in the light of recent alliances in the City Council a slight strengthening of the opposition. A complete collapse, the CSU suffered, most of which benefited the FWG.

The politically now than closer to the FWG CSU standing councilors Gerhäuser and Volkert pull back in the City Council's performance, and should have even more embellished CSU. A disaster on the complete line of Dieter Hummel, although recorded a decent result for the list and can now be expected thanks to agreements with Wolfgang Eckardt order to be able to hold in the event of his re-election, the Office of the second mayor. FDP / WE 15.0% 4 seats (13.7% 3 seats)

list country 11.2% 2 seats (14, 0% 3 seats)

Voter turnout: 64.0% (63.6%)
